Think Pink

In the 50's, pink & black was the stylish color combination, and nothing is more retro than a pink & black kitchen!

1950's pink refrigerators and stoves are hard to find, but if you have daughters, you might compromise on this:

Pink anodized aluminum items, mostly made by West Bend and especially popular in Australia, are among the most delightful 50's pink household items. Many pink aluminum items can be found at ebay, but caveat emptor! Often in the pictures an item will seem quite pink, but in person will turn out to be copper. Double-check!

Here is my own collection of pink aluminum - well, most of it. Notice that the shades vary, from pastel pink to orangey pink to bright rosy pink!

These pink & black dishes were made by the 1950's company "Ballerina".

pink aluminum
You are pink aluminum. Retro, straightforward and fun, you love classic
things. If they're 99 cents at Goodwill all the
better! You are moved by striking colors and
tasty morsels, and you like a stitch-n-bitch
session in the sun. Just remember, while
you're being kitschy cool, don't get too cold.
Ice cubes are best kept in your cocktails,
baby!
